The Half Scale dummies are a unique technical tool designed for schools, colleges, universities, students, pattern makers, costume designers and anyone who is looking to accurately create patterns on a small scale. Half Scale Tailors’ Dummies are mannequins that have been scaled down to 50% of a full sized dummy. Essentially the dummy is sized down approximately a quarter in actual proportions, in relation to a full scale mannequin; (Refer to the chart below). They provide a cost effective and efficient way of producing samples through savings made on time and money by using less fabric.

Key features of this product include:

  • An easy to pin body, where pins can be pushed into just about anywhere on the body. The body is firm enough to keep its shape yet soft enough to have some natural give.

  • A cotton cover with accurate seam lines based on British Standard size measurements.

  • This light weight form also comes with a portable metal stand which is easy to assemble and disassemble, making it a great tool to take to class or on the go.
